Giving: A Heart of Generosity
At Transforming Grace Church, we believe that giving is an essential part of our faith and spiritual growth. It’s not about the amount, but the heart behind it. As Scripture teaches, our giving reflects our trust in God and our desire to further His Kingdom.
Why should we give?
- A Biblical Command: Jesus teaches us that where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also (Matthew 6:21). Giving is an act of obedience, aligning our hearts with God’s purposes.
- To Support the Work of the Church: In 2 Corinthians 9:7, we are reminded, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Our giving supports the ministries, outreach, and community life that help others grow in faith.
- A Blessing to Us: Proverbs 11:25 says, “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” When we give generously, we open ourselves to God’s blessings in return.
- A Reflection of God’s Generosity: God Himself is the ultimate giver. In John 3:16, we read, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son…” Our giving is a response to His incredible gift of grace and salvation.
